Phase 2 is located adjacent to Phase 1 at the corner of 6th and Main Streets (the official address will be 101 East Sixth Street) in a building built in 1928 by the P.H. Hanes Company and later operated by RJR Reynolds.
Like Phase I of WFL, Phase 2 will benefit from the terrific ‘bones’ of the existing building, with the units enjoying high ceilings, huge factory windows, and in most of the building original maple hardwood floors. While the differences in original construction techniques (e.g., concrete walls and columns in Phase I, brick walls and steel columns in Phase II) will give the units a slightly different feel, our design objective is to continue the ‘industrial chic’ decor and to give the buildings a comparable finish level.
As a part of the construction, we’ll be enhancing our current pool space with an additional gas grill, adding a small jetted pool, providing more seating area, and installing a horseshoe pit. Moreover, development on the Phase II site will bring more parking, another resident lounge, a roof-top deck, three separate (and larger!) work out rooms, a theatre room, a Wi/gaming room, and a new larger pet park.
Construction is underway and if all goes well will be complete by the Spring of 2013.
